I've been following yours and I'm a bit envious of what you're doing and seeing and all the awesome company you have. However, I do have much less homework than you and if I decide to not do mine no one really cares. I'm excited to hear about your mission call!Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04151204932376899998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7565469030539917833.post-52251892919453264042011-07-14T12:19:01.468-07:002011-07-14T12:19:01.468-07:00I loved this, Ben! Many others practice a religion because expectations place them in that position. I would say that it is not altogether common for people to be whole-heartedly invested in their religion because it makes them 'happy', per se. I have always been impressed with your ability to hold your religion so close to your heart (and head) while respecting others' rights to disparate points of view. What fits you doesn't necessarily fit others and what fits others doesn't always fit you. Our differences are what make traveling this world so much fun.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03816985780799738281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7565469030539917833.post-14809160627370498262011-07-11T15:18:11.263-07:002011-07-11T15:18:11.263-07:00Thanks so much for the comment, Kim! You are an awesome friend, to hundreds, probably even thousands of people. The example you set radiates what the church stands for. Even more personally, I am eternally grateful for that example to my sons whom have a great deal of love and respect for you and what you stand for. Whenever your name is mentioned, which it is often, there are always positive, funny, reflective comments and memories. Nathan is where he is today because of the atonement, heeding the promptings of the spirit, his family and one amazing friend who has ALWAYS, loved, supported and encouraged him in being a Mormon, sharing it with others and being happy. I can relate to how that relief must of felt when you shared that you were a Mormon. What a beautiful place to read the scriptures! Thank you for sharing your experience!kim prescotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09927722740215529732noreply@blogger.com
